One of the biggest benefits of being a member of the Association of Rhode Island Authors (ARIA) is that I have met some wonderful people – really. I have made so many positive connections, and two of the people I cherish the most are Vikki and Leigh, also known as Brown Corliss Books. They are two of the best collaborators I have ever worked with, and even though I’ve only known them for a couple of years, it seems like we have always been friends. And they write some really fine ‘chick lit,’ as they would call it. I would call it nicely developed characters moving through well structured plots that keep you turning the pages. Take a look, and visit with them at the ARIA Book Expo on December 5th. They will make you smile for sure.
I can’t believe it’s November already, and that the Association of Rhode Island (ARIA) third annual Book Expo is just weeks away.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, December 5th at the Lincoln Mall from 11am to 5pm. It’s a great opportunity for locals to get their holiday shopping started with over 100 local authors offering great holiday reads. Plus we will have workshops, story time readings for kids, raffle prizes – kind of like a bookapalooza.
My fellow ARIA author Martha Reynolds is graciously offering the use of her blog this month to feature some of our Expo authors, including yours truly. I’m glad to feature her blog here and follow along. Take a look and see all the great creativity Rhode Island has to offer. Today’s author is Tabitha Lord. So take a look and come join the palooza!!
Please check out one of my ARIA colleagues, Alex Kimmell, who will be participating in the 2014 Expo on November 8th!
I will be reposting introductions to ARIA authors all this week, so please stay tuned and let me know what you think- the ARIA Expo is guaranteed to be an awesome event and opportunity to meet some of Rhode Island’s brightest authors!
